2026 World Robot Conference to Open in Beijing with More Than 300 Exhibitors

The 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC 2026) will take place from 19 to 23 August 2026 at the Beiren Etrong International Exhibition and Convention Center in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.

Under the theme “Human–Robot Symbiosis, Integration of Industry and Demand,” the conference will bring together companies, researchers, universities, industry organisations and robotics professionals from China and abroad. The World Robot Expo 2026 and the World Robot Contest 2026 will be held concurrently.

According to information released by the organisers and Beijing authorities, more than 300 companies are expected to participate in the 2026 World Robot Expo, representing an increase of approximately 36% compared with the previous edition.

The expo is anticipated to feature more than 2,000 exhibits, including over 150 products making their first appearance. More than 60 parallel and supporting events are planned during the conference.

The conference has received support from nearly 30 international organisations, including UNIDO, the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. International guests are expected to account for around 30% of participants at the main forum.

The finals of the World Robot Contest 2026 will also take place during the conference, with more than 10,000 competitors from over 6,000 teams across more than 20 countries expected to participate.

For the Europe–China robotics community, WRC 2026 offers an important opportunity to follow current developments in robotics technology, industrial applications and international collaboration. ECRA will continue to share relevant developments from major robotics events in Europe, China and the wider international robotics ecosystem.
